saturday is workout with a buddy day

i do 3 miles with my friend Aisha on saturdays now! even in the rain i look forward to it! this will be our 3rd saturday at Greenlake Park!

food diary

hiya!

tuesday night:

calamari
salaad
1 breadstick
1 bite of Seafood Portofino from Olive Garden
(my hubby brought it home to me)
1 Vitamin Water
1 cup of rooibos tea (thanks Amina!)
1 small bar of chocolate
8 oz of water (boo on me)

physical activity:

housework
walking about 2 blocks :(

wednesday morning:

hot water lemon cayenne
cornflakes, milk, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon

I like to move it! Move it!



Hiya peeps!

I lost 2 more pounds :). I am not taking credit for those though lol. I think it was maybe stress or something because I have been off my game and I've been fasting. Fasting for me does not (unfortunately) result in weight loss for some reason. I will try to update daily as a person log/journal of my activities, diet, mental state, how I sleep etc as they all have a huge impact on my weight.

today:

fasting (religious fast which I will break around 7p)
breakfast/suhoor:

28oz of water
1 cup peppermint tea
smoked oysters (it sounds gross but I lub them)
apple slice
4 baby carrots
water w/airborne

supplements:

Vitamin C
Vitamin D
MSM
Garlic oil

sleep:

3 hours (I'm planning on sleeping a little more today though)

mood:

melancholy
anxious
I have a bunch of stuff going on. I have some clutter going on too which always makes me uptight. I plan to tackle that today though.

Okay Back from Holidays (ramble)

Eid Mubarak to all my Muslims out there! Ramadan (our Holy month of fasting) is over and I have feasted for 2 days and tomorrow I will make up the days I missed and then fast 6 more days. My hubby is in a weight loss competition with one of his coworker so I'm unofficially participating :). I just recently read about intermittent fasting on a hair care board I belong to and I'll try that soon.

The Saga Continues

Hey Peeps! In the last 2 weeks I've lost about 7 lbs or so. I've been eating a mostly lacto-ovo vegetarian diet with the occasional fish every now and again. I've been chugging along with my green smoothies too. Slowly changing my lifestyle is the best way for me.

Iftar (naughty)

Donut
black bean nachos (homemade with only a little cheese)

I had small portions and I shared everything with my son and my youngest stepdaughter.

I may have a banana and a little pound cake for my midnight snack. I'm going to be packing and moving this weekend so insha Allah I'll burn these calories :)

iftar (dinner to breakfast)

Iftar:

1 date, a sip of Ovaltine at the behest of my SIL and then I downed a green smoothie. I had several baby carrots.

Several hours later I had a slice of pound cake, a banana and 4 small squares of fine European chocolate.

My SIL noticed that I had lost weight!! She said my face was thinner!! Now I have a lot of face! Even when I was skinny my face was huge (and flat thanks grandma). In the last 1.5 weeks I've lost 6lbs. I'm soooo happy.

I'm still debating joining YMCA (did I tell y'all that?) because they have childcare. I haven't decided yet.
